I was recently asked how I foster a culture of innovation. I'm thrilled to share with you some of the exciting ways I've discovered to foster a culture of innovation within our organization. So grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and let's embark on this journey together!


Innovation starts with leaders who lead with Vision and Passion. Picture this: You walk into the office, and you can practically feel the buzz of excitement in the air. That's the kind of energy I strive to bring every day. By articulating a compelling vision for innovation and leading with passion, I set the tone for our entire team to think big and dream even bigger.


Leaders have to nurturing creativity and curiosity. Innovation thrives in an environment where creativity and curiosity are encouraged. That's why I'm always looking for ways to spark creativity, whether it's through brainstorming sessions, innovation challenges, or simply creating space for spontaneous idea-sharing moments. After all, the best ideas often come from unexpected places!


One of my professors and mentors from Kellogg School of Business, Harry Kramer, former CEO of Baxter, told me to "stop hiring your clones." The most innovative and highest performing teams are diverse teams where each team member brings a unique set of skills that complement the others. Diversity isn't just a buzzword – it's the secret sauce to truly innovative thinking. I firmly believe that embracing diverse perspectives and backgrounds leads to richer, more creative solutions, and studies support this. A study conducted by Credit Suisse on diversity demonstrated companies that have diverse leadership teams have significantly higher ROI and growth. That's why I'm committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every voice is heard and valued.


Innovation doesn't happen in a vacuum – it takes resources, support, and a whole lot of teamwork. That's why I make it a priority to provide our teams with the tools, training, and resources they need to turn their ideas into reality. Whether it's access to cutting-edge technology or opportunities for professional development, I'm here to support their innovation journey every step of the way.


Let's face it – innovation requires taking risks, and sometimes, things don't always go according to plan.
